Do you want a brighter smile? Teeth tend to darken with age and with habits such as smoking and consuming certain foods and beverages such as coffee, tea and soda. There are a few different whitening treatments available.
Take home whitening trays are a simple and cost effective method to improve minor cases. A bleaching tray is fabricated and you are given syringes of whitening gel. A small amount of gel is placed in the trays and worn for 20 minutes a day for 2 weeks.
In office whitening is used for tougher cases. A stronger solution is placed on the teeth for 3-4 15 minute sessions. This initial treatment kick starts the whitening process and you continue it at home with take home trays and gel which are included with the in-office treatment.
For some extreme cases such as tetracycline staining, we recommended using a system called KOR. Special impressions are taken so the KOR technicians can fabricate precise trays. These trays seal in whitening gel for longer periods of time. The trays are worn overnight, letting the whitening gel work for hours while you sleep. If that is not enough, KOR also had an in office treatment.
